KFPA (Korea Fire Protection Association) is a specialized institution established to prevent fire-related loss of life and property and to promote a safer society.
KFPA conducts comprehensive fire risk assessments, safety inspections, technical research, education, and consulting services for buildings and industrial facilities. Through systematic and science-based risk management practices, the Association continuously enhances national fire prevention standards and contributes to strengthening safety infrastructure across various industries.
In addition, through close collaboration with the insurance sector, KFPA advances loss prevention initiatives and supports the improvement of overall risk management capabilities.
Recently, KFPA relocated its headquarters to the One Sentinel building in Yeouido, Seoul, in order to enhance its operational efficiency and institutional capabilities. From its new premises, the Association continues to reinforce its mission of advancing fire prevention, expanding safety culture, and strengthening disaster resilience nationwide.
The new headquarters of KFPA at One Sentinel was designed to reflect the Association’s public responsibility, professionalism, and longstanding institutional authority.
The interior concept emphasizes elegance, clarity, and balanced proportion, achieved through refined detailing, restrained finishes, and a bright yet composed color palette. By avoiding excessive ornamentation and focusing on spatial harmony, the design conveys stability, order, and trust.
Public-facing areas, including the lobby and reception zones, were carefully planned to present a dignified and welcoming first impression, expressing the Association’s credibility and public stature. Office areas are organized with a clear spatial structure and disciplined layout, supporting both focused work and collaborative interaction within a calm and structured environment.
More than a functional workspace, the headquarters serves as a spatial embodiment of KFPA’s core values—prevention, order, and safety—translated into architectural language. The result is a refined and authoritative environment that aligns seamlessly with the Association’s institutional mission and identity.
